Swahili Community remembers Ahmed Darwesh 5 years later after his death.

On the morning of December 15, 2015, the nation woke up to the shocking news of Ahmed Darwesh's death. He was very youthful, only 38 years of age when he passed on quietly on his couch in his South B residence after succumbing to his long fight with Diabetes.

Thanks to Ahmed Darwesh, the Swahili language sounded so easy and understandable. He even helped us to pronounce the Swahili words correctly and read them as perfectly as he did.

Apart from being a media personality, Ahmed was also a writer and a poet who left an immense contribution in the Swahili sector that left a huge landmark in the hearts of many Swahili lovers across the country.

Even though this talented man is already with God, Kenya will remember Ahmed Darwesh, his masculine voice, and perfect Swahili.
