Welcome to Northlands City!

The family of retired president, Uhuru Kenyatta, is currently expanding their empire by constructing a dream city in Ruiru, Kiambu county, Kenya, near Kenyatta University. The city is set to be constructed as an alternative to Nairobi, which is deemed congested and no longer offers a serene business environment.

The city would comprise residential, industrial, and commercial units expected to host over 250,000 people expansively over 11,000 acres of land.

The ambitious project is expected to cost over KSh 500 billion, according to Construction Kenya and will have access to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

"Whilst a key focus will be to meet the needs of the emerging middle class, different areas will cater for older couples, families, and young professionals. Areas of lower-cost housing will also be provided to meet the needs of low-income earners and prevent the emergence of unplanned slum areas," its strategic plan states, as reported by Business Daily.
