Ben Tekee Remembers Theatre Maesto Don Kidero who was involved in a gruesome road accident.
In the last week of November, the theatre fraternity received the shocking news of the passing on of a friend, a brother, a mentor, and a legend who represented art in different fronts.
Donwill Odhiambo Odero popularly known as Kidero, The Don, or JaKotieno was a classical example of a Jack of All Trades. He was an enthusiastic actor, a truly gifted singer, a vastly experienced Mcee, and a capable dancer among other abilities he had.
He was passionate in all matters of performance and freely shared his talents with others either by performing with them on various platforms including the theatre, on social media, on-screen, and at events, or by entertaining others at any opportunity he had. During his life as an artist, he was privileged to work with different entertainment companies including Millaz Productions Kenya, The Technical University of Kenya theatre Group famously known as The Basement, Ninga Melodies, Ton Tenors, Fanaka Arts Travelling Theatre among others. He also featured on several local programs which consisted of Sue na Johnnie, Varshita, Njoro wa Uba, Hullabaloo Estate just to mention but a few. We are glad to have known and shared some moments in his life that we shall forever cherish in our hearts.
Don, Safiri Salama Msalimie Maulana.Tutaonana Tena.
